On May 29, 2025, Chen Leiming, Executive President and Secretary-General of CAMT, together with Li Jing, Assistant Secretary-General and Secretary of the Internet and Digital Intelligence Special Committee, visited the Shanghai Steel Tube Industry Association for research. They had in-depth exchanges with Gong Hongliang, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Shanghai Steel Tube Industry Association, Wei Liqun, Secretary-General, Sun Yongxi, Director of the Expert Committee, Zhang Yaofei, Deputy Director, etc., on Party building work of industry associations, functional innovation, and cooperative development.

Gong Hongliang warmly welcomed Chen Leiming and his delegation, thanked Chen Leiming for serving as the Honorary Director of the Expert Committee of the Shanghai Steel Tube Industry Association, and elaborated on the development history, member composition, and major work carried out in recent years by the Association in activity organization, standard-setting, and industry leadership. Gong Hongliang stated that as a national-level industry association, CAMT has a wide membership coverage, large industrial scale, rich activity types, and extensive business functions, expressing expectations for multi-faceted exchanges and cooperation with CAMT.

Chen Leiming expressed gratitude for the warm reception by the Shanghai Steel Tube Industry Association and highly affirmed the achievements made by the Association in professional guidance, policy leadership, and innovative development within the steel pipe manufacturing sector. He introduced the "123456 Work Method" of the Party building work of the CAMT Party Branch, how to ensure Party building guides business and achieve synchronous and integrated development of Party building and business, as well as specific practices in building a clean and honest work style. Meanwhile, he shared CAMT’s experience and insights in carrying out standardization work. Chen Leiming also had in-depth discussions with Gong Hongliang and others on issues such as leading members in building supply chains, constructing domestic and international dual circulation, and conducting international cooperation.

The two sides reached consensus on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation.
